Welcome to SFI Publishing

SFI Publishing (hereafter "SFI") first emerged as a publishing concept in 1996. The early years that followed saw SFI as a quasi-dormant entity that partnered initial joint-publishing of development-oriented books with the Commonwealth Secretariat, the intergovernmental organisation of the Commonwealth of Nations, located in London. Since June 2004, SFI the 'publishing concept' gradually transformed into a publishing alternative, namely, a small business enterprise with commitment to do the following

  1. foster and promote authorship by first time authors and other individuals who may be disadvantaged or rendered more vulnerable in the context of getting published, by providing a window of opportunity to attract primary creativity into the field of book publishing;
  2. publish Informatics Etc BooksTM, perceived source from development-oriented works of specialist, research-oriented, or experiential origin, with special focus on informatics in the main, and other works of intellectual creativity, in general (Environment, Entrepreneurship, International Relations, HIV/AIDS; Literature in English, Sacred literature, Ethnic Heritage, Children's Classics by child authors, Academic etc); and
  3. effect a drive for general global outreach, with special reference to the vast, diverse microcosm formed by The Commonwealth, in particular, and by the vast, more diverse global world community, in general, for the sourcing of writers, focusing of subject content, and general market outreach.
